What’s new in the 2023 Toyota bZ4X?

The bZ4X is the first vehicle built using the business’s new BEV architecture, which is based on the eTNGA concept and was created specifically for electric cars. Although it doesn’t have the highest performance in its class, 2023 Toyota bZ4X feels spirited and will get you moving on the highway without any hassle. Models with front-wheel drive use a single 150 kW (201 hp) motor. The all-wheel-drive version produces 214 horsepower and features an 80 kW motor on each axle. Both the XLE base trim and the Limited grade provide the option of AWD but come standard with FWD. Regenerative braking is available, and the bZ4X has many driving settings, including Normal, Eco, Snow, and Boost.

Safety Features

Pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assistance, lane-tracing assistance, automatic high-beam headlights, dynamic radar cruise control, road-sign assist, automatic brake assist, a rearview camera, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are all included as standard safety features.

Though it’s not always a bad thing, the inside of the bZ4X is conservative in terms of design and creativity. The touchscreen interface is an improvement above what Toyota has been utilizing in most of its vehicles for the previous few years. Although the screen is smaller than what other competitors provide, it is bright and quick, menu system itself is simple to use. Toyota employs physical buttons for some of the functions rather than putting everything onto the touchscreen.

The 2023 Toyota bZ4X has a pleasant cabin that is composed of high-quality materials. Some reviewers pointed out that the center console’s glossy black piano trim was easy to fingerprint. The bZ4X’s infotainment controls and menus are all simple to use, but several detractors wished the device had a tactile home button. Overall, it’s simple to use and responds quickly.
